Experience the humour and pathos of the words of Charles Dickens, who was one of the great social reformers. The Christchurch Dickens Fellowship will present a programme of readings and sketches which will bring some of Charles Dickens’s popular characters to life. Actors dressed in Victorian period attire will act out scenes from Dickens’s famous novels. Join us for afternoon tea and korero afterwards. All welcome. The Dickens Fellowship is a world-wide association which celebrates the author Charles Dickens, his works and his love of humanity. In Christchurch we meet at Hagley College cafeteria at 2pm on the first Saturday of each month – public welcome to attend.
